LBN438 is a small dark nebula that is most likely associated with the larger LBN 437, The Gecko Nebula that is embedded in the Sh2-126 nebula. The distance is not known, but based on the brighter stars that are most likely illuminating LBN438, it’s probably in the 900-1200 light-year range. There are also many small PGC galaxies in the field with.
